After the $1.5 million Fossil Discovery Exhibit debuted in January 2017, the Big Bend Conservancy Board of Directors began work on funding the Fossil Discovery Endowment. After two years of fundraising. the last contributions arrived in January 2020 to achieve the initial $100,000 goal. The board will continue to raise funds for this exhibit through legacy and individual gifts, growing the fund so that our annual contributions to the site grow as well.
This perpetual fund will provide maintenance, upgrades and additions to the site in perpetuity, ensuring that this award-winning, world class exhibit remains a visitor favorite for years to come.
